What is KLINOFERM?

Klinofeed is a silicate of sedimentary origin from the group of clinoptilolites (heulandite).

KLINOFERM® is a mineral toxin binder from the zeolite group (clinoptilolite). The mineral is thermally activated in the production process to ensure the highest adsorption rates. It is produced according to the FAMI-QS standard, which is also established as a proven quality standard for the production of vitamins, amino acids and enzymes. Due to the unique crystalline structure and the electrical charge of the mineral, KLINOFERM® specifically binds harmful substances in the animal and in the environment without affecting the availability of nutrients and active ingredients. This makes KLINOFERM® a selective pollutant binder. The active mineral ballast is beneficial for optimising digestion. KLINOFERM® is authorised in Europe as a feed additive for all animal species to improve technological advantages in feed. KLINOFERM® improves the flowability and pellet quality of feed and binds moisture very effectively.

KLINOFERM®

• binds effectivly NH₄⁺ (ammonium) in the intestine, which would otherwise have to be broken down in the liver using a lot of energy
• Binds various mycotoxins and pathogenic bacteria
• Dietarily much more effective than crude fibre (100% dietary fibre), better intestinal stability
• Enhances the metabolism and promotes resilience
• the energy supplied from the feed, which is not used for detoxification in the metabolism, is available for the animals’ performance
• Improves the tolerance of contaminated feed and cereals in dairy cattle, reduces cell counts and improves claw problems
• Stabilisation of health and animal performance, fewer losses. Piglets and fatening pigs are more vigorous and breeding sows are more productive, especially with contaminated grain. The pigs are less aggressive.
• improves the barn climate and slurry properties
• Digestion is more optimised in horses. The animals have fewer problems with faecal water

Recommended use for pigs, cows, cattle, calves and poultry:

» Dairy cattle: 100 – 200 g per animal/day (0.5% – 1% of complete feed)

» Calves: 10 – 25 g per animal/day (1 % of complete feed)

» fattening cattle: 50 – 100 g per animal/day (0.5% – 1% of the complete feed)

» pigs (breeding sows, piglets, fattening pigs): 0,5% – 1% in complete feed

» poultry (broilers, turkeys, laying hens): 0,5% – 1% in complete feed

» Horses: 100 g per animal per day for horses weighing approx. 500 – 600 kg

» To improve the flowability of the feed 1 %

» Improvement of pelletising capacity: 1 %.

Klinofeed can be added to complete feed up to 10,000 mg/kg.
