Established since 1978
Heforma has been a specialist in the production and distribution of special feeds and products for livestock farming since 1978. Its special feeds include additives and organic products to optimise animal performance and health, as well as complementary products rich in protein, energy and fibre to improve animal performance. Heforma is also a distributor of hygiene products to improve livestock housing conditions.
Decades of experience
Heforma employees have decades of experience in keeping animals. The Vorspohl family pig farm fattened around 350,000 pigs between 1970 to 1990. During this time, they were able to gain a wealth of comprehensive, practical experience, which ultimately led to the development of the special products Heforma sells today.
Company owner Thomas Vorspohl founded the NRG business along with his family in Hamm, Westphalia, and ran the company from 1991 to March 2010. During this time, the Heforma products were marketed by NRG GmbH.
Innovative products, practical solutions
From 01.07.2011 Heforma GmbH has taken over the distribution of the products directly. We are looking forward to a good cooperation with our customers!
The aim of Heforma is to provide the compound feed industry and animal owners with practicable solutions for problems in animal feeding and animal keeping with innovative products. The product range will be consistently further developed, whereby the extensive international contacts are very useful for Heforma GmbH.
Yeast products have always been a focal point for Heforma
As the company name suggests, yeast (in german Hefe) products have been a focal point for Heforma from the very beginning. The same remains true today. yeast, fermented yeast products, nucleotides, mannan-oligosaccharides and glucans are Heforma’s most prominent products. For over 30 years, Heforma has been a specialist in superior quality clinoptilolite for use as a binder for harmful substances, valuable, inorganic dietary fibre, ammonia binder and to improve the technical properties of feeds.

Another focus area is to develop the business as a competent supplier of high quality, energy-rich complete feeds and supplements for working farm animals. Fish bait for sports fishing and special feed components for pets and sporting animals round off the product range.
Quality and safety: Heforma is certified by GMP+.
All feed supplements and special feed suppliers have the required certificate of quality according to FAMI-QS, QS and/or GMP+. This ensures that the chain of quality from production to transport to the customer is thoroughly checked and is subject to continuous monitoring.
